Child Safety Standards
Last updated: June 8, 2026
Meetz is committed to maintaining a safe platform for the car community. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page outlines the standards, policies, and procedures we follow to keep minors safe and to comply with Google Play's Child Safety Standards Policy and applicable law.
1. Our Commitment
Meetz prohibits any content, conduct, or use of the platform that sexually exploits or endangers children. This includes — but is not limited to — CSAM, grooming, sextortion, sexualization of minors, and human trafficking of minors.
Meetz is intended for users 18 years of age and older. Users under 18 are not permitted to create an account or use the service. Accounts found to be operated by minors are removed.
2. Prohibited Conduct & Content
The following are strictly prohibited on Meetz and will result in immediate account termination and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement:
- Uploading, sharing, soliciting, or linking to child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including drawings, animations, AI-generated, or computer-generated imagery depicting minors.
- Grooming — building a relationship, trust, or emotional connection with a minor in order to manipulate, exploit, or abuse them.
- Sextortion — threatening to release sexual images or information to coerce a minor.
- Sexualized commentary about, or directed at, minors.
- Trafficking, recruitment, or exploitation of minors for sexual purposes.
- Sharing personal information of minors that could enable abuse or exploitation.
- Any attempt to use Meetz to identify, contact, or arrange a meeting with a minor for sexual or exploitative purposes.
3. Detection, Moderation & Removal
We use a combination of preventative, detective, and responsive measures:
- Age gating: Meetz is published with an 18+ rating and account creation is restricted to adults.
- Limited public surface area: Meetz is currently focused on car meets and crews; individual user profiles are not publicly browsable, which limits opportunities for unsolicited contact.
- In-app reporting: Every meet has a flag icon on its Meet Details page that lets any user report content for any reason, including child safety concerns.
- Human review: Reports involving suspected CSAE are prioritized and reviewed by the Meetz team. Confirmed violations result in immediate removal of the content and termination of the offending account(s).
- Device-level safety: Meetz operates on iOS and (forthcoming) Android, both of which scan and block known CSAM at the operating-system / image-pipeline level.
- Continuous improvement: We review and update these standards as the platform evolves and as new threats emerge.
4. Reporting to Authorities
When we identify or are made aware of apparent CSAM or other CSAE on Meetz, we:
- Preserve the content and associated account data as required by law.
- Report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline.
- Cooperate with law enforcement requests in accordance with applicable U.S. federal and state laws, including 18 U.S.C. § 2258A, and with comparable laws in other jurisdictions where Meetz operates.
- Permanently terminate the offending account(s) and prevent re-registration where technically feasible.
5. How to Report a Child Safety Concern
If you encounter content or behavior on Meetz that you believe involves the sexual abuse, exploitation, or endangerment of a minor, please report it immediately. You can report in two ways:
- In-app: Open the Meet Details page for the meet in question and tap the flag icon. Select the appropriate reason (or "Other" and describe the concern).
- By email: Send a message to support@themeetzapp.com with the subject line "Child Safety Report". Include as much detail as possible (account names, screenshots, links, date/time).
Reports involving child safety are reviewed as a top priority, typically within 24 hours.
If a child is in immediate danger, please contact local law enforcement first (in the U.S., dial 911), and then notify us so we can preserve evidence and assist.
6. Designated Point of Contact
Our designated point of contact for child safety matters — including questions from regulators, law enforcement, NCMEC, and platform partners about our CSAM prevention practices and compliance — is:
This individual is ready and able to speak about Meetz's CSAM prevention practices and compliance.
7. Compliance With Applicable Laws
Meetz complies with all relevant child safety laws and regulations in the regions where the app is distributed, including U.S. federal reporting obligations under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A. We comply with valid legal process and regional/national authority requests related to child safety.
8. Updates to These Standards
We may update these standards from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the platform, or applicable law. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
